PART TIME OFFICE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and ethical individual who would like to help make a difference in the lives of our clients. This individual will work closely with the owner, Nolan Vitzthum, to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly as we continue to grow our practice.
Key Responsibilities
Answer and return phone calls, emails, and portal messages in a timely and professional manner
Schedule, reschedule, and cancel client appointments at clinician discretion
Manage clinician calendars and waitlists
Verify insurance benefits and enter client demographic information
Assist with billing support tasks (e.g., sending invoices, posting payments, following up on balances as directed)
Maintain electronic health records (EHR) accuracy and organization
Send intake paperwork and onboarding materials to new clients
Support practice owner with administrative tasks as needed
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and practice policies

LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST
The Heart of Play is seeking a dedicated, compassionate mental health provider to join our group practice. Our ideal candidate is someone who practices with high ethical standards and integrity, compassion, and collaboratively with the community and other providers. An ideal candidate is an individual who is able to work with high autonomy and independence, even under supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual therapy (and optional couples/family therapy) to a diverse caseload
Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation within compliance of third party payers
Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with state licensing boards and professional Code of Ethics
Collaborate with colleagues, referrals sources, and supervisors as needed to maintain professional integrity and competence
Participate in team meetings, consultations, or trainings (as applicable)
Qualifications
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field
Active license or license-eligible in Iowa (tLMHC, LMHC, LMSW, LISW, PsyD, PhD)
Strong clinical skills and professionalism
Ability to manage a caseload independently
Commitment to culturally responsive and trauma-informed care
Preferred (but not required)
Experience with specific populations or specialties (e.g., trauma, anxiety, couples, adolescents)
Experience with telehealth platforms
EMDR Therapy training from an EMDRIA approved trainer
